Agri-Business Expansion Initiative

In early 2021, the Australian Government rolled out its new Agri-Business Expansion Initiative.  Under this program, the Australian Government will invest $72.7 million supporting Australian farming, forestry and fishing exporters expand and diversify their export markets.   This initiative includes:

  • scaled-up support to over 2000 agri-food exporters each year through Austrade services
  • expansion of the Agricultural Trade and Market Access program that seeks to identify opportunities in overseas markets for Australian products
  • investing in research, to expand the number of Australian scientists pursuing industry priorities in emerging and growth markets.
